The Primetimers (PT) being a bunch of young, exciting adults decided to be adventourous and went for a night hike on 17th September (Sat evening) all the way to Muka Head. It tooked 1 1/2 hours before the campers arived at the camp site to be greeted by warm chicken wings, sausages, burgers, noodles & rice that were nicely barbequed waiting for them. Call that excellent food and time management. What more with 5 tents which were set up ahead of time for the 26 campers to plonk their stuff in to rest. Lovely accomodation setup.
About 3 a.m in the morning, everyone was running for shelter from their tents to an abandoned bungalow when tropical rain bucketed down soaking through the tents waking us all up! Blurred, cold, wet and sleepy, we managed to clean up the flooded tents and some of us managed to catch up on some much-needed sleep back in the tents while others relaxed and spent the night chatting and singing away on the beach with the crabs and mozzies.
Sunday morning, hot coffee, Milo, instand noodles, bread and tuna later, we had a simple but short morning gathering before pack up to return to civilization. All in all, we were reminded to take a break and enjoy nature in the midst of our busyness with work to reflect on God's goodness and the beauty of His creation.
